We offer full-service training to help you confidently handle common puppy challenges, including chewing, barking, potty training, and separation anxiety.

Basic Training
Basic dog training establishes a foundation of communication and safety between you and your pet. It focuses on building trust through positive reinforcement, where desired behaviors are rewarded with treats, praise, or play

Specialized Training
Addresses deep-seated issues like severe aggression, separation anxiety, or extreme fear through specialized techniques like desensitization and counter-conditioning. Many rescued dogs, who come with no history, present with these issues.

Cam started training dogs with one simple goal: “Helping dogs and humans speak the same language.”
From early childhood, Cam was rarely seen without a loyal four-legged companion by his side. Over the years, his passion and fascination with dogs grew into a thriving training business built on respect, understanding, and results.
With decades of hands-on experience, Cam understands that dog training methods vary widely. Anyone who has discussed dog training knows there is no single approach everyone agrees on. What most animal lovers do agree on, however, is the unconditional love dogs give so freely. Dogs guide the blind, assist individuals with medical needs, provide comfort to the elderly, support those struggling with addiction, and serve in high-level security roles. They are intelligent, loyal, and endlessly fascinating companions.
So what sets CamDog K9 Training LLC apart? It begins with a genuine love of dogs and a deep understanding of their behavior. Cam is a certified behaviorist who believes effective training goes far beyond force or intimidation. While dogs naturally respond to leadership, true leadership also means providing protection, guidance, structure, and trust. This philosophy is the foundation of Cam’s training approach. Connection before correction, training built on understanding, not force!
Cam studied under James Conroy, founder of the British College of Canine Studies (2010) and the American College of Canine Studies. These highly respected programs provide world-class education for rescue organizations, police and military dog handlers, trainers, and behaviorists worldwide, and are known for their experienced instructors and exceptional standards.
Cam's training included 28 months of intensive, hands-on study focused on canine behavior, social structure, feeding, and boarding practices. This was done under the watchful eye of a very successful local business.
Cam’s college-level education was both comprehensive and highly practical, earning him a final grade of British Distinction—equivalent to an A in the U.S. grading system. Earning him the professional title of ACSA-KA Advanced Canine Behaviorist.
Cam tailors each training plan to the individual dog. This includes understanding the dog’s history, breed, environment, and lifestyle. Two dogs may display the same behavior but require completely different solutions. For example, one dog may bark excessively due to separation anxiety rooted in abandonment, while another may bark simply from a lack of exercise or mental stimulation. Though the behavior looks the same, the modification plan is entirely different. Cam has successfully trained hundreds of dogs, of all shapes, sizes and ages!
